Construction: Worked in the round on a set of 4 double-pointed needles from the cuff down; k3, p3 ribbing at the top transitions into the 6-stitch, 24-round Spiral Rib repeat for the leg and foot, finished with a wedge toe shaping and grafted closed.
Finished Measurements: Shown in Woman’s Medium, adjustable — main adjustment is foot length; most toe shapings add about 2″ to the length of foot. Changing the size of needles or yarn to adjust the gauge is all that is required: use larger needles and/or yarn for larger socks, smaller for smaller socks..
Pattern Style: Written in standard US knitting terms, with a stitch chart for the Spiral Rib pattern included.
Stitches: Knit, purl, k2tog decreases, worked in the 6-stitch Spiral Rib repeat.

Recommended Materials & Tools

Yarn: DK weight — approximately 2½ oz/70g (300 yds/273m).
Since the original 1990s yarn may be discontinued, substitute with any standard modern DK weight yarn such as Valley Yarns Superwash DK or Paintbox Yarns Simply DK.
