Design & Construction Details
Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate.
Construction: The Wrapping Shawl is knit flat in a repeated ripple eyelet lace pattern from a cast-on edge, worked straight to length on two needles. The Ripple Carriage/Crib Cover is crocheted flat in horizontal rows worked in the back loop only to create a diagonal chevron stripe, with the color changed every two rows.
Finished Measurements: Wrapping Shawl: 27½” x 34½”. Ripple Cover: Carriage size 26″ x 31″, Crib size 36½” x 45½”.
Pattern Style: Written in standard US knitting and crochet terms, with a full stitch/abbreviation guide and a standard baby-measurement chart included.
Stitches: Wrapping Shawl — knit, purl, yarn over, and k2tog decreases forming an openwork lace panel. Ripple Cover — chain and back-loop single crochet worked in a chevron color-stripe pattern.
